CDL Truck Driver
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Operate equipment and waste hauling vehicles as directed based on operational needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive equipment and waste hauling vehicles.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSR guidelines.
Maintain Hours of Service logs (when required) accurate and up to date.
Identify and ensure write-ups of defective equipment on trucks.
Check all load related paper work prior to movement of load to ensure completeness and accuracy including Manifests, Bill of Lading, Land Disposal Restriction forms, etc.
Ensure proper placarding of waste hauling vehicle.
Ensure professional and safe operation of vehicles while on customer property and over the road.
Load and prepare equipment for upcoming jobs. Unload equipment upon arrival on the job. Re-load equipment upon completion of the job and unload equipment upon return to the shop. This includes lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape and weight.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Experienced in the operation of Tractor-Trailers including roll- off trailers, van trailers, tankers, gravel train (doubles)
Must be thoroughly familiar with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Must be familiar with Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations
Must have completed a defensive driving course or demonstrate defensive driving skills
Valid CDL with endorsements
